4 of the Biggest Fashion Weeks Scandals' of All Time

The New York 2020 Fashion Week has now began. But, as excited as Fashion enthusiasts are… concerns come with the excitement. Previous years used to be worry free for the relaxed audience. But, after one too many Fashion Week Scandals’ guards have been raised. Although, some audience members enjoy the drama and look forward to see what's next to unfold this year.

1. Kim Kardashian robbed at gunpoint

October 2016 during the Paris Fashion Week the well known star of the show Keeping Up With The Kardashians was robbed at gunpoint inside her hotel. The robbers stole $10 million dollars worth of jewelry.

“That 10 minutes really changed my whole life,” Kim explained. “You’re just kind of bracing yourself for the moment that they’re gonna shoot you and kill you. They tied me up. They wrapped duct tape over my eyes and my mouth.”

2. Cardi B & Niki Minaj’s Fight

During the 2018 Bazaar Icons Party two well-known female rappers got in a heated argument. Niki allegedly made a degrading comment on Cardi’s parenting. The argument then advanced to yelling and Cardi ended up hurling her shoe at Niki.

3. Shirtless Madonna

The singer Madonna made Fashion Week history when she walk Jean Paul Gaulteir’s show after ditching her bra. She wore a dress that exposed her breasts and walking hand in hand with the French designer, flashing the crowd of over 6,000 people.

“I was supposed to wear a top and jacket like Jean Paul’s, but at the last minute I decided it was better to go out topless!” Madonna said after the show.

4. Marc Jacobs’ dreadlock scandal

Marc Jacob was accused of cultural appropriation after having A-list celebrities such as Kendall Jenner, Bella and Gigi Hadid, and Karlie Kloss walk the runway wearing dreadlocks. Marc took the situation into his own hands making critics even more angry after he called the backlash “nonsense” and insisted his intentions were pure and the look was inspired by cyber goth. Eventually, as the drama simmered down he took to Instagram to apologize “the lack of sensitivity unintentionally expressed by my brevity.”
